ABOUT
In aviation regulations are written in blood. And this crash is no exception.
A company, that was known for its quality. A crash, that would revolutionize the industry and its standards. 346 people, who died tragically and hundreds more that remain to understand and correct the mistakes that some greedy executives made. Thousands of decisions coming to this moment impacting every single aspect.
A new aircraft that would revamp the industry, Boeing 737 MAX, was introduced by The Boeing Company on May 22, 2017. It had new engines, new technology and provided fuel efficiency, and it had MCAS or Maneuvering Characteristics Augmentation System. It was going to do one thing, correct a greedy company’s wish to modernize a 60-year-old aircraft. However, a company that was doomed from an acquisition made in 1990s, purposefully avoided the safety measures to ensure it would work properly. On October 29th, 2018 a Boeing 737 MAX 8 flying above Java Sea, dived on its own and killed 189 people inside. Then another aircraft crashed for the same reason on March 10th, 2019.
The delegates will be tasked to identify the problems that doomed these two aircraft, regulate the necessary measures to make the aircraft safe, take proper actions to ensure that a company can never ignore safety standards anymore and recognize the passengers’ fear against the Boeing 737 MAX and airplanes in general, to reassure them the safety of aviation.
Good luck Aviators.
